Dreams are my enemies.
They remind me what reality lacks.
In them I live what I cannot hope for.
Makes it harder to try to adjust.
Even though
...I know...
You were right.

When endings are not endings
But merely states of change
The ice falls into my brain
Slowing shutting me down
I fight to move
I fight to live
I would rather give up
But then
Its not just me that's here
I have to talk
I have to move
Not for my benefit, but yours
Quickly the ice is in reverse
Back from whence it came
I talk I move I breathe
In this moment
I live for you

And observe the world around you?

"This is morning
That's when I spend the most time
Thinking 'bout what I've given up"

Not really, because I try not to dwell.

But I still like the song.

I once knew this summer was temporary.
When did I forget?
When did I begin to think it could stay this way.

But these were the days, the choices we make
Decide who we will be and where we go
As we say goodbye the look in your eye
Is screaming silently, remember to never forget
Never Forget.

1 place, 1 time. 2 Pictures, 2 people.

My friend Taylor and I both took pictures like this. And we decided to edit them separately, and then post them, to see what we each came up with. So this is mine, and here is a link to hers.

A Letter

Dear Eros,

You have run amok in my culture. I

can't turn around without seeing your obsessive

following. Everyone is chasing madly after you.

I am tired of it. I would like it very much if you

would take a vacation. It needn't be very long.

Perhaps a year. Just one year with out your

influence on all of our emotions, desires and

lives. That would be the most wonderful thing

you could ever do.

No Love,

Sara

Oh hallow internet. Here we meet again. I whimpering at your lack of amusement. You apathetic and aloof as I press the keys that attempt to tickle you.
That attempt to tickle you into such a state of distraction that you let me link to something joyous. Perhaps I am redirecting emotions of angst given me from a different source.
A source whose veins flow with blood, not information
Perhaps you do not deserve my cynicism.
But you shall get it.
My dear hallow crutch.
You are getting it.

What do you want to see?

OK. My dear readers, what is it you like about this blog? Or what is missing? I want to know what you like, and don't like. Do you want more pictures? More words? Do you like the pages? This blog is for you, so I would really like a comment from each of you!

This was taken in the Denver airport. There is a train you take to the gates after security, and this is where you wait for that train.

Don't be Passive

This is a picture I took while walking in my neighborhood today.
It is simple, but I love the lines.
Reach out.
Interact
With
Reality.

Limitess

I just finished a book.
It was the second in what is to be a series of three.
My mind is numb. I am full of the character's emotions.
I want to be comforted.
I want the story to advance.
But mostly I just wish I was still reading.

Why do we create these alternate worlds.
They so often leave us hallow when we surface back in our own.
Perhaps because the posibilities are limitless there.
As are the world's implications on our own.

Truly
You will notice an email on my pictures now. I figured I should start signing them, and as this is the internet, I figured an email address would do. Also as a deterrent for thievery.

Though I Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death...

I glow.

Or at least I want to. I've grown a fair amount in the last six months, but I have so much farther to go. One thing I've realized is that I keep waiting for life to start, I think I need to get through school, then life will start. Or wait until I get married, then life will really start, but neither is true, Life is now. We have no idea how much time we're going to get so we better get on it. I don't want to play it safe anymore, but I don't want to get toasted by the bad stuff either. I don't think there is a happy medium, so here's to bubble popping, risk taking, and God trusting.
-gulp-

Adorable

My nephew picked out shoes in the best color.

Sometimes We Stand Alone

Today was just a standard day. But in the middle were little bits of magic. The laughter of a one year old, a lizard sighting, and missing people I love.
